The Bookmobile
Destination Literacy
The bookmobile is our mobile branch! It’s a large vehicle, named Destination Literacy, that’s loaded with books you can check out. Our library-on-wheels serves local neighborhoods, shopping centers, and other community locations. We’re open to all, so check out our schedule to visit any of our many stops throughout Durham County.

Did you know?
- The bookmobile has titles for children, teens, and adults, in both English and Spanish.
- You can return a book from the bookmobile at any other library location, and you can return a book from any location at the bookmobile.
- On the bookmobile you can also sign up for a library card and pick up a book you requested through our online catalog.
