Summer Reading – Durham County Library

Paper: Pick up a paper tracker at the library. We have two kinds of trackers - one to keep track of your daily reading and a bingo chart with reading challenges! Choose the one that works best for you.
Online: Can’t come to the library? You can still keep participate! Simply print out your Summer Reading trackers online. If you want your tracker to count, you will need to turn them in at any library location.

Summer Reading 2025 will take place over seven weeks, running from Saturday, June 14 to Saturday, August 2, 2025. This year’s theme, “Color Our World,” celebrates the many ways art enriches our lives—by bringing people together, encouraging dialogue, reflecting diverse experiences, and inspiring creativity and self-expression. Programs and special events will be hosted at all seven Durham County Library locations, with each offering a unique lineup. (You will be able to find details on the upcoming Summer Reading programs on our online events calendar as we get closer to the start date.) Summer Reading is a fun experience for the entire community and patrons of all ages are invited to participate. Details on how to participate will become available as summer approaches.
