Donate materials to the North Carolina Collection

The North Carolina Collection is more than just books, it also has an extensive collection of archival material related to the history and culture of the city and county of Durham. The North Carolina Collection accepts donations of materials from people just like you, including:

• Photographs documenting the history of Durham
• Papers of local individuals and families
• Records of Durham-based businesses, organizations, and clubs
• Other Durham-related memorabilia: brochures, programs, or handouts from local events; local maps and surveys; school or church memorabilia; and more. If it’s Durham-related, we’re interested!

These materials are used for research and enjoyment: faculty and students from universities, genealogists tracing their ancestors, architectural historians and private individuals researching historic houses and buildings, children doing school projects, and many others.
