LaShaunda es la Gerente de los servicios para adolescentes en la Biblioteca Principal. Ha estado empleada en la Biblioteca del Condado de Durham desde julio de 2006, comenzando como auxiliar de biblioteca. Su pasión por el trabajo con los adolescentes comenzó a través de la conversación con su colega Archie Burke y la conexión con muchos de los clientes adolescentes durante su tiempo en la Biblioteca East Regional. Después de la escuela de posgrado, volvió a sentir el amor por la lectura, con un interés en las novelas gráficas y las obras para jóvenes adultos sobre situaciones de la vida real. Fuera del mundo de la biblioteca, le encanta pasar tiempo con su hija adolescente jugando a los videojuegos.
