Características especiales de la Biblioteca North Regional

Sala para los programas de niños
Asista a la hora del cuento, programas de manualidades y más en este espacio divertido solo para niños.
Comfort closet
This community pantry operates the same as a little free library, allowing patrons to leave items and take items as they need them. Through grant funds received from the Friends of the Durham County Library Grant and the community, we are able to provide non-perishable food items, hygiene products, donated clothes items like coats, hats, and socks, and other essential items like heat packs in the winter and cold packs in the summer.
North Regional community garden
This garden space is a valuable resource for the community, offering opportunities for gardening, food access, and fostering community engagement.
Homeschool Learning Lab
Homeschool Learning Lab welcomes homeschoolers (and out of session public/private schoolers) of all backgrounds and abilities to an environment where students are able to express themselves and learn about the world around them, where families can find support for their homeschooling adventure, and together we strengthen the entire community. Homeschool Learning Lab meets weekly on Thursdays at North Regional Library.
Homeschool science kits
Through grant funds received from the Durham Library Foundation, North Regional Library is now able to circulate homeschool science kits. Each subject-based kit contains all the supplies needed for hands-on, project-based learning. While the intended audience is homeschool students, these kits are accessible to anyone with a library card who needs science supplies to be used at home and help to close the wealth gap for students whose parents cannot afford these manipulatives.
