LaShaunda is the Teen Services Manager at Main Library. She has been employed with Durham County Library since July 2006, beginning as a Library Page. Her passion for working with teens began through conversing with fellow Teen Services Manager Archie Burke and connecting with many of the teen patrons during her tenure at East Regional Library. After graduate school, she got back into the love of reading, with an interest in graphic novels and young adult materials about real-life situations. Outside of the library world, she loves spending time with her tween daughter playing video games.
